What's included in the tour?
The price for the tour is €789 per person and there are no additional costs. The tour includes six days of paddling from Sunday to Friday inclusive and seven nights’ accommodation in twin rooms, which can be booked from Saturday to Saturday. Single rooms in a flat are available at an additional cost of €140. Add a comment in the comments section on the booking page if you would like a single room. Each tour guide accompanies a maximum of eight participants. The total price includes all sea kayak rental equipment, which includes a sea kayak, paddle, life jacket, spraydeck and a 20-litre dry bag per kayak. The collective water taxi for the outward and return journey is also included in the price. Please note that travel from your home to and from the meeting point as well as catering is not included in the tour price.
What is the typical programme of a sea kayak tour?
The tour begins with meeting your tour guide, which takes place on Saturdays between 15:00 and 16:00 in the small harbour of Srima. The guide’s contact details will be sent to you by email or directly to your mobile phone around two weeks before the tour. If you have any questions about the tour, you can contact the guide or Rüdiger. After the meeting, you will be taken to your accommodation by shared water taxi, the journey takes about 15 to 20 minutes. On Saturday after arrival there will be a preliminary meeting. Departure is planned for the following Saturday from 7.00 am and the rooms should be vacated by around 10 am.
How long does the sea kayak tour last?
The tour comprises six days of paddling, with the daily distance being between 15 and 25 kilometres, depending on the weather and the course participants. The tours always start on Sundays and end on Friday afternoons. The return journey to the mainland is planned for Saturdays from 07:00 onwards.
What happens to my payment if the booked sea kayak tour is cancelled due to Corona?
If a sea kayak tour cannot take place due to the Corona protection guidelines, you do not need to worry. In this case, the amount paid will be credited in full and you have two years to rebook the tour with us on another date.
What are the age requirements for taking part in a sea kayak tour?
A minimum age of 18 years is required to take part in our sea kayak tours.
Is it necessary to have previous paddling experience before taking part in a sea kayak tour?
To take part in our sea kayak tours, we require a basic level of physical fitness. Paddling skills are not absolutely necessary; we will teach these on site. If you are unsure about this, you are welcome to call us or send us a message.
What is included in the price of the sea kayak tour?
Our sea kayak tours are offered at a fixed price. In addition to the tour itself, this price includes the transfer to the accommodation by water taxi, accommodation, tourist tax, all sea kayaking equipment and the costs for the tour guide and local tour escort. There are no hidden costs. Please note that travel from your home to and from the meeting point as well as catering is not included in the tour price.
What documents are required to take part in a sea kayak tour?
An identity card or passport is sufficient.
What equipment do I need to bring to take part in a sea kayak tour?
We recommend that you bring the following items in addition to your usual luggage:
- Waterproof sunscreen with sun protection factor 50+
- Sun hat with chin strap for better grip in windy conditions
- Long-sleeved shirt to protect against sunburn
- Shorts made of synthetic material or neoprene that can get wet
- Thin rain jacket
- Sunglasses with strap
- Spare contact lenses, if you wear any
- Closed water shoes or bathing shoes to protect against sea urchins
- Swimwear
- Bath towel
- Sports tape
- Water bottle, ideally with a carabiner hook
- Light, warm clothing for the evening hours
